Irradiated cross-linked halogen-free polyolefin insulation material for offshore solar cable as per TUV specification

YHS-J125XPVW/H · Color:Nature

Core performance

Inner Irradiation-crosslinked Insulation (Offshore PV) Qualified crosslinking ensures high insulation, low dielectric loss and restrained DC space charge. It resists hydrolysis, thermal aging, low temperature bending and slight oil pollution, maintaining insulation integrity for 25 years in wet underwater conditions.

Scope

Irradiated cross-linked halogen-free polyolefin insulation material for offshore solar cable as per TUV 2PfG 2962 standard. Working temperature of -40℃ to 125℃ .

Material Composition

By the polyolefin materials, filler, stabilizer, lubricant inside and outside through special proportion, end spacing refining and added to the mix and twin-screw granulating of halogen-free insulating materials.

Processing

1. Drying and dehumidification: Dry the compounds at 70℃ for at least 2 hours by air blast and the dehumidifier before processing.
2. Extrusion machine parameters: It is recommended to use an extruder with a length-to-diameter ratio of 25:1 for extrusion. The screw compression ratio is 1.5- 1.8:1.
3. Extrusion cooling conditions: Every cooling system of extrusion molding machine must be able to work automatically ,feed opening must be cooled with water.
4.Conductors preheating: Preheating temperature is 65℃--85℃;
5. Extrusion temperature parameters: The actual temperature of melt and the value of the temperature control table may be different, so we should choose the right temperature.
The data of the table can be used as a reference.

Irradiation process

Irradiation dose: Recommendation irradiation dose is 10-20 Mrad;

The irradiation dose should be adjusted according to the product structure and specification difference.

Due to the influence of the difference of electron accelerators on the measurement, the selection of radiation dose should be based on the test thermal extension meeting the requirements. It is suggested that the dose should be used for reference only, and the thermal extension should be controlled in the range of 30-60%.

Inspection Requirements

1. Appearance: Visual inspection and hand inspection, polymer particle diameter is 3~5mm.
2. Properties: Annex I and Annex II
