Product description

This EPR elastomeric insulation compound is widely adopted for photovoltaic, marine and industrial cables. It retains excellent elasticity and flexibility across broad temperature ranges after crosslinking.

It delivers outstanding ozone, UV and outdoor weather resistance with stable electrical insulation under humid and water immersion environments, possessing reliable resistance to water treeing and partial discharge.

It offers great thermal ageing stability, low-temperature flexibility, supports stable extrusion. Custom halogen-free and flame retardant formulations can be provided to meet various project standards.

Use Methods

1. Drying and dehumidification: Mix the A and B Component evenly, drop them into the hopper. Please use EVA masterbatch if color required(it should be dried). The material must be use up within 2 hours after unpacking.(It can’t be dried.)Avoid to bring the external water in during the process.
2. Screw Type: Suggest to use PVC screw
3. Extrusion Temperature:
Mark:YHS-EPR65 Zone1 130±10 Zone2 160±10 Zone3 180±10 Zone4 180±10 Neck 200±10 Head 200±10
Δ Control the melt temperature of Insulation at 200±10℃ .The extrusion temperature needs to be adjusted according to the actual situation.
4.Pay-off Speed: Without the effect of smoothness and performance, the faster,the better.
5. Cross-linking: Natural Cross-link:Temperature 15-25℃,cross-link will be finished around 7days.When temperature is higher than 25℃,cross-link will be finished around 3days. Water bath or Steam:Control the temperature around 60℃,cross-link will finished about 4 hours. (the thickness of the test piece is 1mm) Full performance test,water bath (steam)60℃, more than 8 hours, ensure the material is fully cross-linked.

General processing instructions & Package, Transport and Storage

Customizable according to customer requirements · Packaging: aluminum foil bag · Storage: clean and dry warehouse, avoid sunshine and rain.

Package:

  • 25kg/bag, with PE bag inside and Kraft paper bag outside.

Transportation:

  • It should be protected from direct sunshine, rain and moisture during transportation.

Storage:

  • Keep in clean, dry and ventilated warehouse.
